What is the Newmom.me Mother and Childcare Specialist Training Program?
The program is designed to equip individuals with comprehensive knowledge and skills to support mothers and their children through pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenting. Who can enroll in this training program?
The program is open to anyone who is 18 years and above and interested in becoming a mother and childcare specialist, including healthcare professionals, doulas, midwives, nurses, and individuals passionate about maternal and child health.
What are the prerequisites for enrolling in the program?
There are no specific prerequisites. A strong passion for supporting mothers and children is essential.
What topics are covered in the program?
The curriculum includes topics such as prenatal care, childbirth, breastfeeding support, postpartum care, newborn/infant/toddler nutrition and health, emotional and mental health support for mothers, and various principles of parenting. How is this program different from other Doula or a Newborn care specialist training programs?
This program is designed to cover the entire cycle of care from pregnancy to childcare. Rather than taking three separate courses (Postpartum Doula + Newborn care + Infant & Toddler care) you can take this course ($999) at 1/3rd the time and prices of all other courses together (approx. $3200). After certification, you will be able to support moms as a Postpartum Doula, take care of newborns & infants and continue caring for kids till toddlerhood.

Additionally, our curriculum is evidence based and reviewed by Newmom.me's expert council of medical, nursing, lactation, doula, and related professionals and is developed based on CDC, APP and ACOG guidelines.
Are the courses offered online or in-person?
The program is self-paced and online to accommodate your schedule. You will also receive a digital copy of the course material.

Upon completion of the certification, you will have access to digital handouts which you can use for self revision or to share with the families you support. Here is an example of one of the many handouts you will receive.
What kind of certification will I receive upon completion?
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certification as a Mother and Childcare Specialist from Newmom.me Academy.

Certification is valid for 3 years from the date of issuance. You can recertify by taking a refresher course and exam.

We offer a simple 2-step certification process: Pass an online exam, and then pass a live video interview (based on realistic scenarios). You must also submit proof of current CPR/First Aid certification.

What career opportunities are available after completing the program?
You can support moms and families from Pregnancy to all the way till Toddlerhood (e.g Postpartum Doula or Newborn/Infant Care Specialist or as a Nanny). You will also have the opportunity to join Newmom.me platform to kick start and grow your business.
How is the program evaluated?
Evaluation includes a combination of quizzes, practical assessments, and a final examination to ensure comprehensive understanding and competency in mother and child care.

Are your training programs accredited?
Currently there are no official agencies who are authorized or recognized by a government body to offer accreditation to Doula and/or Newborn Care Specialist training. The ones who offer it are independently owned and do not have any formal authority by any government body.
